The body of a concealed valve sits in the wall so it's necessary to have a cavity between 50-100mm. Sometimes the existing wall can accomodate this, at others you will need to box it out. All you see is a plate to conceal the fixings and the controls for on/off and temperature. These valves can be fixed away from the shower head so you can turn the shower on before entering the showering area should you wish. Concealed valves create a minimalist look and are available in modern and traditional styles. With a concealed valve, it is possible to control several appliances such as the fixed head, handset and bath filler/body jets, all from one valve.
These showers are fed by a cold supply only and heat the water as you go, excellent if you are on a stored hot water system. Not as good as a pumped shower or high pressure system in many instances but still capable of providing a good shower if you choose one of the more premium models.
Exposed valves sit proud of the wall as shown in the picture. As such, they are easier to install, only requiring a hot and cold supply to be chased into the wall. Most valves are now thermostatically controlled which basically means that in the event of an influx of hot or cold water, the valves recognises the changes and adapts the flow to prevent scalds (or unpleasant cold water). You can have a fixed deluge head, handset, or a combination or both.
Aesthetically, perhaps not to everyone's taste. However, like the electric shower they heat only the water you use AND with a built in pump it increases pressure which results in water leaving the handset at greater speed to give improved performance.
Great for a good soaking at the end of a long day, do remember that many of the larger heads require good pressure. Please call us to find out more.
Available as a pumped option for gravity fed systems or un-pumped for high pressure systems, these are the ultimate in showering luxury. With the ability to mount the controls up to 10m away using the cable provided, you can turn the shower on from the comfort of your own bed allowing you to wake up gradually in the knowledge your shower will be at the exact temperature you left it at last time. You can run a combination of appliances including bath fillers, body jets, fixed shower heads and handsets.

If people are opting for either a fixed head, OR a handset, this tends to be their choice, they're excellent for washing the hard to reach areas and very useful for cleaning down the bath/shower afterwards.
